AngularJS: Cannot show the result from a function
I would like to show the result from the function convertJson to my view.
Here is my controller function:
$scope.convertJson = function(json) {
var value = JSON.parse(json);
console.log(value);
$scope.value = value;
return value;
};
And here is the view:
{{value}}
But I am not getting any result.
What is going on?

Your function needs to return a promise. Like this:
$scope.convertJson = function(json) {
var value = JSON.parse(json);
return value;
};
Then you can do this in your controller:
$scope.convertJson = function(json) {
var value = JSON.parse(json);
console.log(value);
$scope.value = value;
};
And this in your view:
{{value}}
Since you're using Angular, don't use jQuery's $.ajax function, though. Use Angular's $http service instead.
